Cada espaço social que a criança habita oferece à ela diversas possibilidades de aprendizagem. Dentre os principais espaços estão a família e a escola, ou seja, os “ambientes” mais frequentados pelos pequenos e também mais influentes em sua formação.
No entanto, dentro de cada um deles existem dois pontos importantes: a integração e a separação. Onde podem trabalhar juntos e onde devem trabalhar separados.
Assim, fica a pergunta: o que é papel da família, o que é papel da escola, e quais são os limites e as oportunidades dentro de todo esse processo?
Se a família cuida, a escola ensina
Antes de mais nada é preciso entender: jamais as duas coisas serão opostas entre si. Sendo assim, podemos dizer que os deveres familiares são complementares aos deveres do ambiente escolar e vice-versa.
Uma não existe sem a outra, e a criança é o que une os dois contextos que, ainda que específicos em suas características, possuem um ideal comum: preparar um novo cidadão para o futuro.
O parente e o professor
O professor é um profissional de conhecimento sistematizado, formado por métodos de aprendizagem de grandes pesquisadores e pensadores. Ou seja, não se pode comparar sua função à de um parente do grupo familiar.
Não é de sua responsabilidade tornar a criança afetuosa, nem sua culpa as falhas no processo de escolarização.
Sendo assim, a função do professor é tornar a aprendizagem leve, espontânea e complementar aos princípios e valores que devem ser passados em casa.
A importância de se importar
Uma das coisas mais fundamentais no papel da família e da escola para a criança, é se importar. Uma educação que se limita à sala de aula se torna vã se não for reforçada e revisada em casa.
O pai que não se importa com o que o filho aprende, certamente passará à criança o sentimento de que de nada vale o esforço em aprender.
O cuidado com o ensino é transformador
Não é de hoje que estudiosos e pesquisadores da área vêm exaltando a relevância de um comprometimento tanto da escola quanto da família em trabalhar juntas. Há quem diga que quando ambas compreenderem seus papéis, a educação tomará proporções gigantescas.
Enquanto isso, numa realidade que ainda não nos cabe como brasileiros, num país coberto de desigualdade social, basta a conscientização de que a criança precisa de muito mais do que um professor e muito mais do que um pai/mãe que lhe repreenda.
Neste ponto, o papel dos dois se converge: o professor ensina, prepara o ambiente e incentiva a autonomia, enquanto o pai apoia, reforça o conhecimento e caminha junto quando preciso.
